Lord Sri Krishna went to see Bhishma pitamaha when he was on his death-bed breathing his last. When Bhishma pitamaha had darshan of Lord Sri Krishna, he started reciting Sri Vishnu Sahasranama immediately. Sri Vishnu Sahasranam means, rosary of thousand names of Lord Vishnu.
